KHORDALYS
KHORDALYS is a musical project (former known as Gentle Guitar Project) created by Paraguayan guitarist, composer, and music educator Pedro Martínez, who has an extensive international background in instrumental music and teaching. Conceived as a parallel space to his main authorial work, the project emerges from the need to explore solo guitar from an intimate, serene, and deeply musical perspective.
Throughout his career, Pedro Martínez has released four albums and one EP, performed in more than fifteen countries, and developed a solid pedagogical path as a university lecturer and music educator. In KHORDALYS, this experience is distilled into a refined artistic proposal, where technique is always at the service of expression and the natural sound of the instrument takes center stage.
The project engages in dialogue with jazz, popular song, and the classical guitar tradition, without being confined to a specific genre. Each interpretation prioritizes space, breath, and a cantabile phrasing, inviting close and attentive listening. KHORDALYS is conceived as an open framework for approaching classic repertoires from a contemporary sensibility, with great care for detail, timbre, and musical narrative.
