Dr. Götz Östlind

Dr. Götz Östlind (Dr. Goetz Oestlind) is the founder and managing director of

G² Records & Publishing and G² Music Publishing. With his academic background, including a master degree in applied cultural sciences and a doctorate in business administration, he combines strategic vision with deep industry expertise. His entrepreneurial work is further supported by his multi-year teaching experience as a lecturer in music management at Macromedia University of Applied Sciences.

Under his leadership, G² Records & Publishing has successfully established itself in the market, generating 5 to 6 million monthly streams and working with over 50 artists across the genres of jazz, solo guitar, and country. A central milestone (2026) is the exclusive co-publishing agreement with Sony Music Publishing for the jazz and solo guitar genres.

His own artistic background forms an excellent foundation for this, as it allows him to deeply understand and evaluate the music business from both the perspective of the creator and the professional music manager.

These personal artistic and live achievements include worldwide concert tours as part of the piano duo David & Götz with over 700 performances, including a concert at the Barclaycard Arena Hamburg in 2016, alongside over 160 million cumulative streams on major platforms as a composer.

Essential milestones also include winning the "Hollywood Music in Media Award" in the category "Outstanding Instrumental Performance" (2021), the orchestral production of his original composition "Fantasy for Piano & Orchestra in B Minor, Op. 8" with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra in Prague (2021), as well as the adaptation of his Piano Sonatas for two US-American ballet world premieres: the acclaimed production "Jahreszeiten" by the Richmond Ballet in 2021, followed by twelve additional performances, and "See the Music (Hear the Dance)"

by the Ballet des Moines in 2025.
