MATT BACON

International artist and Top Prize winner at the Texas Music Festival's guitar competition, Matt Bacon maintains a diverse career across a variety of musical genres. 

 

He's the Head guitar faculty at AR Rahman's KM Music Conservatory & is the Artistic Director of Chennai Guitar Fest - giving the Indian premiere of Vivaldi's Lute Concerto and Rodrigo's Concierto Aranjuez.

Matt has also played on nearly 100 soundtracks, film scores & EPs, e.g. with his guitar prominently featured on Akshay Kumar's Atrangi Re (Hotstar & Netflix) - which boasts the record for Netflix's most streamed release in a single day.

In addition to jazz & classical music, Matt has also performed Indian classical music, with his arrangements published in the US by Mel Bay titled "Elements of Indian Music, vol. 1."
