

KRZYSIA GÓRNIAK
Krzysia Górniak is a Polish jazz guitarist, composer, and producer born on February 9, 1974, in Olsztyn, Poland. Her guitar playing style is a captivating blend of smooth jazz and fusion, marked by lyrical melodies, technical precision, and deep emotional resonance. She seamlessly weaves intricate improvisations with structured compositions, balancing technical skill with a feminine sensitivity that critics frequently highlight. Her music reflects a narrative quality, drawing listeners into heartfelt, melodic journeys, whether she’s performing with her Quartet and Trio.
She started playing piano at six and guitar at ten, later earning a Master’s in jazz guitar from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria, and a Master’s in philosophy from the University of Warsaw. Known for her lyrical and emotive style, she has released ten albums of original music, including Emotions (2009), Feelings (2012) Moments (2016), and Memories (2020).
Since 1999, she has been performing on festival and club stages in Poland and Europe. Internationally, she collaborates with the band Astrolabe, which she founded with Portuguese vocalist Rui Teles, combining her jazz sensibilities with bossa nova and fado. Additionally, Górniak has partnered with symphony orchestras and various jazz artists across Europe, contributing to projects like Garden Of Love (2008) and Tribute to Nat King Cole (2015).
